The celebration of 'Pascua' in the municipality of Padrón is one of the most important festival celebrated in this village, and it has a centuries-old tradition.
In 1609, Jerome del Hoyo, Cardinal of Compostela, wrote about cattle fairs in Padron. Since then, one of the most important in Galicia was held in Campo Grande.
Around this cattle fair, festive and religious joined, as it coincided with Easter in proximity of dates, now becoming a benchmark for Galician parties. The City Council of Padrón invites everyone to enjoy more than 15 days of festive processions, attractions, octopus stalls, fairs, music and a wide range of activities for all ages.
