After crossing the bridge of Santiago, in Padrón, we come across Costiña do Carme, which leads us to the convent of the same name, Convento do Carme.

The neoclassical building was constructed at the beginning of the 18th century on top of live rock. It was originally inhabited by Discalced Carmelites and then, after the secularization process, by Dominicans, who are still present today.

Due to its privileged location, its atrium, which is open to the public, is a perfect viewpoint overlooking Padrón. A few metres away, there is also a fountain called Fonte do Carme, built in the 16th century.
