The church of Santa María de Páramos, in the municipality of Val do Dubra, was built in the 13th century. At the beginning of the 19th century it had three altars (the high altar and two side ones, dedicated to St. Peter and St. Anthony).
The current building still has some Romanesque features: the nave and rectangular apse, a small window with columns and a chequered archivolt, a side door and several anthropomorphic, plant and animal corbels. The rural Romanesque style can also be made out in the church’s main façade.
